June in Review
What you missed during June 2025
Wanted to go back a bit in time to update everyone on what my June was like. Since my Twitter account is gone there is ALOT to catch everyone up on. My goal is to try to do small posts like a Twitter timeline but for now I will be giving blocks of updates.
June was very busy! And usually sunny. Which means outdoor activities are a must.
Regency Cosplay
Started the month off with a little Regency Cosplay. It’s one of my favorite eras to dress in. This outing involved the outdoors of course! Gathered with some friends and took a stroll in the infamous International Rose Test Gardens in the West Hills of Portland. It was an incredible day of friends, gossip, attention getting (everyone loved our costumes), noshing, and enjoying the outdoors. One of my favorite areas was the Shakespeare Garden. All the plants were a reference to something written by the great playwright.
1st River visit of the Season
Like I said, the Summer season started early and came in HOT.
I do not drive so sometimes it is a challenge to make it out to water. Especially if you are trying to get away from the crowds. When the weather is nice in Portland literally everyone is out doing something and that’s mostly hanging out by the various streams, rivers, lakes, and ocean entry points we have.
Here I am enjoying some sardines with some yummy local bread
The gorgeous Sandy river
Love smoking by water
Renn Faire
Yes, more cosplay! One of my new favorite things to do is attend the various Renn Faires we have in Oregon. I started about 4 years ago and I won’t be stopping anytime soon.
This year my costume was the best it has ever been. I had more layers and included a belt situation which upped the ante on the whole look.
We did opt for a night time visit which did not turn out as well as I thought it would. I was thinking it would be rowdy and lit with fire. I my thinking far too big! Ooh well. I have a few more chances to wear my new Renn Faire get up.

Well that’s all for now!
Hope you go outside and touch some grass.
